A camera is a device that records images. Depending on the compatibility of a camera, these images can be in the form of a still photograph or may be a moving image that is known as video or movie. The term “camera” is derived from the Latin word “obscura” that hold the meaning: dark chamber. It is due to the fact that in ancient times, “dark chamber” used to work as one of the mechanisms of projecting images. The modern camera evolved from the camera obscura itself.
A lot of cameras have a lens positioned in front of the camera's opening. The function of this lens is to capture the incoming light and focus the image that is to be captured on the recording surface. Earlier the concept of “film cameras” was very common. Remember those black films that were used to capture images in a camera. These days the concept is not so common, as the digital cameras have taken the role of these old fashioned film cameras.
A digital camera is the one that takes images, or record videos, or both ( depending on the compatibility of the model) digitally by recording images via an electronic image sensor. So no film roll in this case please! These are geared up with a certain memory, depending on their storage capacity that may exceed to even GBs as well. Just click the photographs and have their preview at the same time!
